Roll a rectangular block across floating grids to reach the goal in Bloxorz, a classic spatial puzzle game playable for free directly in your web browser.
Bloxorz is a legendary grid-based spatial puzzle game originally created by Damian Summer. Your objective is deceptively simple: navigate a two-block rectangular prism across a series of floating platforms and drop it vertically into a square exit hole. Every roll shifts the brick between standing upright on a single square or resting flat across two adjacent tiles. One careless flip over the edge sends your block tumbling into the void, forcing an immediate restart of the stage.
While many games on this site test high-speed reflexes and obstacle avoidance, Bloxorz demands deliberate geometric visualization and patient problem-solving. Each movement alters your block orientation, requiring you to think several steps ahead to line up narrow bridges, navigate tricky corners, and trigger stage mechanisms in the correct sequence.
You control the block using the arrow keys on your keyboard:
A stage is completed only when the block drops vertically into the square goal. If your block rests horizontally across the exit tile, it will not fall through; you must maneuver around the platform to approach the hole in an upright stance.
As you progress through the 33 stages of Bloxorz, the puzzles introduce several interactive elements that alter the platform layout:
When you encounter a perplexing layout, keep these practical strategies in mind:
If you enjoy testing your problem-solving skills on Vex 7, Bloxorz offers a distinct mental challenge. While speedrun platformers like Vex 3, Vex 8, and OvO Classic focus on momentum, wall jumping, and precise mechanical execution, Bloxorz rewards spatial awareness and patient logic. For another twist on physics and environmental mechanics, try G-Switch 2, which challenges your spatial timing by flipping gravity along running tracks.
Bloxorz features 33 levels of increasing complexity, introducing new switch types, fragile bridges, and split-block mechanics as you advance.
Each stage displays a unique six-digit passcode in the upper corner of the screen. You can enter this code in the stage select menu to resume your game later.
Round switches activate bridges when touched by any part of your block, while cross-shaped X switches require your block to stand vertically on end.
Orange tiles are fragile and cannot support the weight of an upright block. You must roll across them lying flat so your weight is distributed across two tiles.
